Those are the "Secret Owl Society" packs, they come labeled with UV ink. Daz almost always provides a small blacklight keychain, use it to reveal the pack name.

"Is there any freebies?"

"I got a confirmation email, it still says "processing", should I be worried?"

As long as you have a confirmation email, then there's nothing to worry about your order has been received.

If you've been lucky enough to grow the Blue Power OG from @RoninGarden then you know just how magical this cross will be!
With the absolute least amount of detail let me tell you a little bit about my friend Ronin, our past, and why you should be supporting this dude. First off, he does the real work and breeds fire autos, so let’s get that out of the way. This was the foundation of our friendship and our collaborative efforts.
Ronin was one of the first people from a grow forum that I had the opportunity to meet in real life. In 2015/16 I was misled (*conned) into moving from the east coast to Colorado by someone that I had trusted. To spare you the details, I was left homeless and broke in a small mountain town, I knew nothing but my grow equipment, genetics, station wagon, and dog. Ronin, being the genuinely good dude that he is, offered me room and space to grow so that I could get back on my feet. He also took in my dog as if it was his own, and she is forever grateful to him as well.
Eventually, I moved in with one of my best buddy’s in the whole world and things were great until we ran into some problems trying to switch the lease over from the previous tenant. At that point, we were faced with a major rent increase or eviction. We chopped the grow, cleaned up, and went our separate ways. With nowhere to go Ronin took me in once again. Not long after that, I decided to move back east to pursue a different opportunity.
Living back in Massachusetts things didn’t work out the way that I had wanted them to, then one day I get a call from the Colorado best buddy previously mentioned saying his roommate was moving out and that he had a really nice space for rent to live and grow. Perfect! This was around Thanksgiving of 2018 that I moved back out to Colorado and got all set up to rock. On New Year’s day, I found him passed away.
I was literally broken.
Up until this point I had been living off of my less than minimum wage salary from another company and working dead-end jobs to keep the lights on to keep moving projects forward. There is no money in doing the real work, which is why so few people actually do it. I had no money, nowhere to go, and no idea what I was going to do. I felt like quitting and walking away from everything.
Once again, Ronin took me in.
I have been homeless three times in my life. All three times Ronin has been there for me. If there was ever someone that I think deserves the support and spotlight for his auto breeding and general amazingness it is my friend, Ronin. Night Owl would not exist if it were not for both Ronin and Jason from Darkhorse telling me not to give up, and providing space for a down and out breeder with nothing in the world but his plants and his dog. I will always have love for and support these dudes and I wholeheartedly encourage you to do the same.

Sage Scout has been on the to-do list since the F2 stage of Wizard’s Apprentice. I knew immediately that these two would pair exquisitely, and I’m proud to finally have enough available to share with you! Expect a medium to large frame plant, with side branches that can grow to be almost as tall as the main cola (and will most typically require staking during late flower). Dense clusters of OG/Cookie structured flowers cap off the top of each branch, with golfball-sized nugs running down towards the stalk. Another heavily trichome covered plant that will lend herself to all types of extraction, producing thick earthy and sage flavors that are more and more difficult to find these days, accompanied by a hit of sweet lime and fuel. The Wizard adds a good bit of stretch, more flowering sites, and some Sativa dominance to the Forum Stomper’s already impressive pedigree. You’ll definitely want to have carbon filters if you’re running her someplace that odor might be of concern. Oh, and double-bagging for road trips would be a safe bet.

What/Who is Mephisto Genetics?

Mephisto is "a small outfit of autoflower enthusiasts", a boutique breeder that specializes in autoflowering cannabis.
As stan_mephisto (who manages the US store) put it:

My issue with most other breeders is that they do not list thier strain lineage. We tell you who we got our cuts from and credit the original breeders. Our cookies are really cookies, our haze is really haze, and if we re create a hype strain you better believe its the real deal.
All these zskittles, and gelatos autos you see come out are not the real deal, they are just using the hype name. Ask the breeder where they got the gelato, and how they managed to turn it into an auto so fast. It takes two years to turn a photo cut into an auto.

There is a long thread on ICMag, "Mitch's Auto Adventure", with lots of the early history of what would eventually become Mephisto.
The Mephisto website has its own FAQ, a Grow Guide, and a Strain Guide. There are also community autoflower growing guides on the autoflowers subreddit's sidebar / about page.
Mephisto has an instagram, run by Daz of Night Owl. Note that stan isn't on Instagram, and while I have an account (@parsing_trees) I don't really use it; if somebody claims to be either of us on IG and tries to sell you seeds, it's a scam.

What regional stores are there?

US, Canada, EU, UK, "Worldwide" (other countries, see Mephisto's FAQ: Shipping).
Mephisto does not ship across regions -- if you're in the US, CA, EU, or UK, you can only order from that region's store, not the other regions' stores or Worldwide.
Prices are subject to change, but this post has a copy of previous prices at the US store. Prices vary by line, and the Artisanals and Medicinals are a bit more expensive because they require significantly more breeding work.
Direct order freebies are based on the overall order price (not including shipping) -- see Mephisto's FAQ for details, and note that the tiers are based on $ for all stores, because payment processing is now done in USD.

When will the US store be open?

No time/date has been posted for the US store yet, more specific than "looking like mid February" as far as I know.
On AFN, stan posted something which I had briefly quoted here, but in context, I now realize this was about the UK store (wish the newsletter messages actually specified!). No time/date has been posted for the US store yet, as far as I know.

What about the Livers bx1 description? What does "bx1" mean?

Livers bx1 description.
"bx1" means backcross -- Mephisto's Auto Livers strain was crossed back to the photoperiod Livers cut and then worked for four generations to re-stabilize the autoflowering trait, but with even more of the Livers traits otherwise.

How do the different strain groups (Originals, Artisanals, Limiteds, Reserva, Illuminautos, Medicinals) differ?

Originals: Mephisto's first collection of auto strains, which they've been breeding and refining for about a decade.
Artisanals: Newer photo-to-auto breeding projects, based on the Originals (or other Artisanals) and elite photoperiod cuts.
Illuminautos: A test bed for experimental crosses.
Limiteds: F1 crosses of Originals and/or Artisanals. These are usually one-off releases. Some were previously available as Illuminautos or freebies.
Reserva: Re-releases of older strains, usually Limiteds or Illuminautos that became very popular.
Medicinals: High CBD (or 1:1 THC:CBD) strains. Currently there is only Canna-Cheese, but more are in the works.

What's the deal with Night Owl? Does Daz work for Mephisto? Is there a strain guide?

Night Owl is an independent auto breeder who did some breeding work for Mephisto several years ago -- the strain guide mentions GBD (Daz) doing early work on Cosmic Queen and Sour Stomper -- though now he just runs their instagram and represents them at events. Many of his strains are partially based on Mephisto's genetics.
There is now a subreddit specifically for Night Owl -- nightowlseeds. Announcements will go there from now on.
Night Owl sells directly through The Seed Bazaar, and indirectly through various other seedbanks. See his instagram for more details.
There isn't a strain guide yet, and info tends to disappear from TSB as things sell out, but u/BlueJayin has been collecting strain details in a google doc.

What about Chef Anna?

The relationship between mephisto and chef anna goes way back before I even starting working with mephisto. He has done a lot to spread the word of mephisto so we continue that relationship to this day.
To say we "support him" is very broad. He is an advertising partner and he purchases seeds from us to resale as a white label variety.

What about some other breeder I saw with Mephisto lines / crosses?

We do have an active relationship with James Loud not anyone else though.

There are a few other breeders that have collaborated with Mephisto in the past, such as Mainely Autos (not much info on them...), but there are also "basement breeders" that are chucking pollen and selling F1 or F2 seeds as a cash grab. Making seeds is the easy part -- it takes work not to! The real breeding work is in selection, especially over several generations.

What about RocBud? Didn't they sell an F1 with Jammy Dodgers?

A religious article about Pac-Man

The younger of our brilliant, honors-division daughters returned from her university at Christmastime with a big, red, raw blister on the palm of her right band. In the solicitous manner of fathers, I demanded to know what had happened to her. She muttered something about some man.
“What?” I cried. “A man did this to you? A man has tortured my little child?”
She turned away in shame. “It wasn’t a man. It was Pac-Man,” she choked out. Then she turned to me with desperation in her voice. “You must help me. Whatever you do, give me no money. No matter how I beg and plead. Pay my bills at college directly. End my checking account. Warn your friends that I might hit them up.”
“What are you talking about?” I screamed. So she poured out the terrible tale of her humiliation. It seems that on the Friday night before Christmas vacation she and several friends, sober students all, had gone to a video arcade. Our daughter has been to Europe, Disneyland, Gettysburg and the Riverfront Stadium. She speaks Russian. Nonetheless, she was ill prepared for the real world, the lights that dazzle and the sounds that beckon. She innocently slipped a quarter into the Pac-Man slot, curled her fingers around the controls, held the bright red ball of the joy stick firmly against her palm, and there she remained -- hour upon hour, quarter after quarter, desperately trying to keep her Pac-Man out of the voracious jaws of four different-colored and deceptively cute-looking monsters; trying to make him eat up the dots on the “table” and down the bunches of fruit which occasionally appeared; and sporadically trying to make him turn the monsters into frightened blue turn-tails by eating “energizing dots” -- all of this in an attempt to build up points for the owner of the increasingly blistered hand.
Before the night was over she had spent all the money she had with her, tried to cash checks, borrowed all the cash her friends had, begged money from strangers, and finally been dragged back to her room, screaming and sobbing, “Just one more quarter. One more. I’ve got it now. I’ve figured it out. I can beat ‘em this time.” Her friends closed their ears. They had all been through it. In fact, they returned to their dorm and formed the first campus chapter of PA (Pac-Man Anonymous)
I was shocked, chagrined, shamed and humiliated. Christmas cookies and peanut brittle lost their allure for a child of Joe Cool, the Ice Man, known to his colleagues as “Dr. Death” because of the level of his excitement at church committee meetings; she had sold her subzero birthright for a heated romp through a video maze.
As the days slogged on in the after-Christmas slush, I knew not what to do. My child was a junkie, and I could not understand or identify with her experience. I could not comprehend how anyone, especially a child of mine, could just lose control that way.
Then one day I was walking through a local shopping center, passing by the gaping mouth of its video arcade, where an oily looking man sat on a stool, an evil smile curling the corners of his serpentine mouth, as he suggestively jingled the quarters in his little leather apron. I glanced quickly around. Seeing no one I knew, I slipped into the arcade and was suddenly surrounded by dozens of moving, lighted, gonging, clanging video machines. They all seemed not only to be watching me as I hurried through the narrow corridors separating them, but to beckon me as well. “Hey, Big Boy, want to go to heaven for a quarter?” “Hey, Honey, you lookin’ for action?” “Hey, Mister, slip me a quarter and we can really have a good time!”
I came to the one marked “Pac-Man” and read the instructions on how to play. I did not understand them. They reminded me of IRS instructions on how to prepare an alternate Schedule C for a 1040-A. Either you are born understanding such things or you are not. The game was already in motion, showing the uninitiated what could happen, and introducing novice players not only to the names of the characters but also to their nicknames. Since I did not understand those either, in my mind they became Hinkey, Dinkey, Parley and Vous, and so they have remained.
Deciding that the only way to comprehend the instructions was to play, I slipped a quarter into the slot. Four little monsters appeared in a cage in the middle of the maze, while Pac-Man appeared toward the bottom of it, eating the dots that populated every half-inch of every corridor of the table. I guided him along, seeing the score rise as the dots were consumed. Suddenly I realized the monsters were uncaged, and converging on Pac-Man! I twisted the joy stick desperately, but they were coming at him from all sides. Coming at him? They were coming at me! I was there in that maze, fighting for survival, a survival that was not to be. As they caught me and I melted down to nothing, a short, sad, awful funeral dirge played.
But wait! The monsters returned to their cage, the consumer dots remained digested and Pac-Man reappeared. I was reborn, still in control. I was in the maze again but I was also outside it, looking on, the aptly named joy stick still in my hand. Cherries appeared near at hand -- a chance for an easy 200 points, and the chase was on once more. This time I understood. I could do it!
I did not do it, of course. My successive Pac-Men ate more dots and avoided the monsters a little longer, but the end for each one was the playing of the same sad little song. When three had gone that way, the board flashed the awful words, “Game Over.” Without thinking, I reached, into my pocket for a second quarter.
With my second game I discovered that there were four big dots which, when consumed, energized Pac-Man, changing him into a monster. The real monsters turned blue and ran at the terrifying sight of the turning worm, the righteous avenger, the passive one becoming aggressive, the meek inheriting the maze. While the monsters were blue I could chomp them with the jaws of Pac-Man and get 200 points each. But, alas, they remain blue only momentarily. Just as I was about to catch Hinkey he began to flash back into his old color. I turned, but too late, and the sad song played for me once more.
When my quarters were finally gone, I started to run to the man at the door. He had quarters while I had only useless dollars. I must make a monetary exchange.
Then I realized . . . It was happening to me, too. Just as my “chomper” (in the argot of the game) had been consumed by the monsters, I had been consumed by Pac-Man. And my tale is not singular. If truth be told, many an otherwise upright citizen slips into many a video arcade with a sweaty palm full of quarters and a surreptitious glance over his shoulder.
Why is this so? Of all the video games, why has Pac-Man captured the imagination, and the quarters, of so many? Because it is based on the Christian understanding of life, that’s why. Pac-Man is a phenomenon of the industrialized countries not just because it is part of the advanced technology of electronics, but because those are the countries most thoroughly saturated with the Christian story. Pac-Man is based on the biblical narrative, its story the same one Jesus told in a different way. Pac-Man is existence, captured in the bleeps and blips of the electronic board. It is, in short, life.
The little white dots that Pac-Man gobbles up are days, the regular chronology of existence. You get points for downing them -- not many points, not big points, but you get something just for going through the maze. With the control stick you can go any direction you wish, though of course you have no choice but to stay within the confines of the maze itself.
John S. Dunne says that there are three strangers that invade our lives: the world, mortality and sexuality. I would add aging as a fourth. Perhaps these are the monsters that pursue our hero, Pac-Man.
When these variously colored monsters appear at the center of the maze, you do not automatically and immediately know that they are monsters. The instructions may tell you they are, others may have warned you about them, but they look so innocent, so benign, so cute. They even have nicknames, for Pete’s sake! Demons -- I mean monsters -- do not have nicknames. It is, interesting to note that Pac-Man and the monsters are very similar in appearance and chomping ability, and are all rather lovable. Of course, demons always disguise themselves to look lovable, to look as much like their prey as possible.
Despite their resemblance to one another, each monster is different from the others in behavior. They move at different speeds and follow different patterns through the maze. If you cannot distinguish between them as the game progresses, you are much more likely to get caught. Naturally, with four monsters and only one Pac-Man, the odds are hardly even. The patterns of the monsters are bound to converge on Pac-Man sooner or later, and it is usually sooner. At such times, Pac-Man’s only salvation is in one of the four energy dots that transfigure him into a superman and make the monsters run for their lives.
Monsters, however, do not scare for very long. Those religious experiences of life, those times when we are so spiritually supercharged that demons quake at the sight, do not last very long, and the monsters know it. Soon they begin to flash, meaning they are going to turn back to their usual colors. Normalcy will soon return, and Pac-Man had better get back to eating as many dots as possible, to run up the score before the monsters come again. It is worth noting that the longer the game goes on, the faster the monsters move, and the shorter their blue periods are. It is just like what happens as one advances in the spiritual life.
Occasionally as Pac-Man makes his way, cherries appear in the maze, and if you are good enough to get into the advanced stages of the game, other types of fruit also show up. If your Pac-Man can eat them, you get big bonus points. The problem is that you never know when or where they will appear, and they usually lure Pac-Man away from the safety of the energy dots, out to where the monsters are freewheeling through the alleys. You might call the fruits opportunity, or you might call them temptation.
If Pac-Man manages to outwit the monsters long enough to eat all the dots in the maze, there is a short intermission and even a little show in which all the characters cavort about harmlessly. It is a plateau, a short rest, before another maze appears, and life goes on. It would be interesting to compare the various mazes to Erik Erikson’s stages of growth or James Fowler’s stages of faith, though I haven’t been able to do so because I am stuck in the beginning mazes. It is clear, however, that the successive mazes of Pac-Man in some way bear witness to life as it moves from one stage to another.
I suspect that Pac-Man was developed by those in the Wesleyan tradition. Some sort of “prevenient grace” predisposes humans with quarters to enter into the maze and “to go on to perfection.” But there is a Hebraic strain, too. An adaptation of the game is a switch to silence its electronic sounds allowing the player to “Be still, and know
The clincher, however, that relates Pac-Man to life is the price one pays. The unadept pay a high price in quarters; the adept require less money, but pay in time and concentration and Pac-Man elbow!
Why does Pac-Man appeal? Because it mirrors the patterns of reality. Like life, it presents us with days of frustration and moments of salvation; it includes pursuit by demons and rebirth for another try; it makes us attempt to survive through maze after maze. It includes the hope that pulls one on, and the sad song at the end when one finally steps away and another takes one’s place at the controls. Pac-Man is the story of life as we hear it in the Judeo-Christian tradition; it is the most thoroughly theological of all the video games.
When the Century pays me for this article, I would like the money in quarters.

What I've Picked Up In The Last Couple Days

A summary of my first week as a MDent - multi strain/dispensary review w/ pics

Hey MDers,
Been a bit over a week since I was approved (aaaaand I have no allotment left lol) and began my MD Med journey - figured I would summarize my first week of non-stop dispo trips and the stupid amount of money I spent so that anyone interested hopefully find this info a tiny bit useful. I will review both products w/ pics and dispensaries!
Just a bit of background - I have been spoiled by the ability to medicate with extremely fresh high end buds from Cali on a regular basis over the last 5 years. I have been through a huge amount of Connected, Jungle Boys, Cookies, Alien Labs, and other top tier exotics. A few people told me to not bother with my certificate as MD flower will disappoint me but I wanted to see for my self and I have been fairly impressed and love having the vast selection so conveniently available. Anyway, on to the stuff.

Dispensaries -

Remedy in Columbia
Obviously heard a lot about them and they happen to be right around the corner from me. Place was stupid crowded, very little direction, customer served hugely out of order, tons of people complaining, I waited a total of 1.5hrs only to have my ID and bag full of meds delivered to the car behind me. Guy had it for a couple mins while tying to flag someone down for help. Was my first time but still... Maybe just an off afternoon but was a pretty shit first experience. They need to figure out a better system to handle the volume they are doing. I might give them another try after I finish with the doctors appt reimbursement which is a pretty sweet deal tbh.
Herbiculture in Burtonsville
This was my first pick due to how many different strains of flower they had on their menu, biggest selection I have come across in my general area yet. They also had 20% off for first time patients which seems to be much less common then the 10% I see at most places (was just told about Trilogy in Ellicott City who does 25% off your first THREE visits - def gonna check them out). As far as picking up goes, they have you come inside to check in quickly, and then you go back out to your car to wait for a call to confirm your order and then they come out for payment and come back with your product. I waited about 25-30 mins after checking in for my call, and a friend waited over 45 minutes a few weeks ago. Other then that, everything was great - everyone was friendly and my order came w a rose for Mothers Day even though I am certainly not a mother :D
True Wellness in Laurel
Stopped here after work on day since I work in Laurel - these are fully open just without the deli style setup that they normally have. It was awesome getting to go inside my first MD dispo and have a look around. Cool place, cool people. Got a free t-shirt, some free prerolls, and some good buds!
Greenhouse Wellness in Ellicott City
They had a 20% off Grassroots sale the other day that grabbed my attention since there was a few grassroots things I wanted to try. Ordered online - they are doing curbisde only. Pulled up - they came out and confirmed my info and then asked for payment without ever confirming products ordered, price seemed a bit low but I thought maybe it was just due to a better initial discount then I expected. After pulling away I looked and was short an eighth. I called them right back, they confirmed I was not charged, and said I could come back and they would run it out. I went back and they even took 20% off (Verano so it wasn't on sale) for the trouble. I was very happy with how it was handled and they were very nice about it. Barely had to wait either time.
Have been back a second time about an hour before close, pulled up and left 2 minutes later. Extremely efficient and friendly. They will continue to be a primary dispo of mine.

I am in Columbia and willing to drive 20-30 mins for a nice deal. Any suggestions on what to give a try. How is the Living Room? Heard some things...

Flowers -

Verano
Heard the best things about Verano before I tried anything - pretty good buds.

Pungent sweet skunk and pine aromas. Bright green uniquely structured buds. Came with a humidity pack so things were fresh. Really liked the high and the flavor.

G Wagon

Haze's arent for everyone but I love em - so when I saw G6 crossed with a haze I had to have it and it met my expectations. You still get that sweet G6 but the haze smell was bursting out of the jar and also is prevalent on the exhale. Still have more of this to smoke to finish my opinion.

Super Glu

Worst of the Verano's I have had - was dry and pretty flavorless. I know the glue's don't that the most pungent flavor, but I wasn't getting much of anything. Have heard good things so I want to try a more fresh batch before I make a final decision on whether or not I like.

Thai Lights

Super interesting smell - kind of a vanilla/citrus/earthy combo. super uplifting buzz, great morning smoke or if you plan to be outdoors this would be a great pick.

Mag Landrace

Solid Indica - puts my mind and body to rest. Will keep this around.

Grassroots
Another brand I have been a big fan of - very strong meds, all have been well cured and have very unique and strong scents. I will keep seeking out the GR :D

Lemon Grenades

Incredible aroma with this strain, I could not stop smelling it lol big euphoria on this Sativa dominate hybrid. I really liked it.

Texas Shoreline #3

Wow. Skunkiest strain yet from MD, nice citrus hints but overwhelmingly skunky and it fills the room FAST lol smooth smoke, great flavor too. Very cerebral high and very uplifting. Even though it seems to be indica dom, I get a much more sativa feel from it. The effects have some psychadellic nature to them as well which I really liked.

Yuck Mouth #4

Garlic Cookies x DoSiDo? Sign me up - lovely smell, just wish it packed a bit more of a punch, but another impressive showing by Grassroots.

Chem de la Chem

Wasn't the most beautiful looking, but it tested over 30% and packed a punch. Had the strong Chem smell and was grinder ruiningly sticky lol

Rythm
Between these guys and Culta, best buds I have found yet. Terps near 3%, well cured nugs with great bag appeal, smoked to a blindingly white ash, and tasted great.

Black Afghan

The nose on this one knocked my socks off. Incredible. First 3+% terp strain I have had from MD and its amazing. Beautiful nugs, and incredibly heavy hitting. Top of my list right here so far. If you haven't tried, please do, it is worth the premium.

Such and incredibly well cured, dense, sticky, smelly nug. Good mood lifter, pretty strong too. Would def buy again.

Cinderella 99

For the price this was really good! Got it for around 35 with a discount - a great morning or early afternoon smoke, I will def keep this around when I can get it cheap! An amazing citrus smell and great flavor on exhale.

Dosido #9

I have had many different Dosido strains and crosses, and this was right up there with the best. I have a very high tolerance and this had me on my ass which probably has to do with the #9 being much more heavy on the Face Off OG side of the cross that makes Dosido. Excited to try #16-22 but this will be high on my list for a while I think.

Donkey Butter

Super nice nug structure, tons of trichs. Very dank earthy smell mixed with a strong fuel-y smell. Very relaxing high, again another strong med from culta. I am impressed.

Pineapple Skunk

Might be the craziest smelling of all these strains - intense citrus but with a huge amount of pineapple smell too - its actually nuts how tropical this one smells. Pretty heavy hitter, had me pretty couch locked. Might try it again or some other gLeaf.

Natures Heritage
I said Rythm was my fav but I might be second guessing that soon with these guys. All of these strains I have tried have been all around fire. Great smell, great taste, and delivered clear and long lasting highs. I will be buying all of these again soon.

Mostly popcorn nugs, so wasn't thrilled on that, but dense dank nugs allbeit small. Haven't smoked much of this one yet. But seems to be quality.

Guava IX

Insanely tropical, strong hints of papaya - one of the best tasting smokes ive had yet. Flavor stands w some of the Guava's I have had from out west.

ONYCD

Potent smelling, great flavor. Piney diesel with citrus undertones. Strong hybrid buzz that will def knock a beginner out but is a good even keel smoke for a seasoned smoker. Highly recommend all to try.

Grape Kush

Meh. Didn't seemed flush properly - pretty harsh smoke and burnt to a pretty ugly black ash. It was one of the cheaper strains I have gotten though at $35 for the eigth.

Northern Lights

Also just okay, classic Northern Lights scent so I was happy to smell that, but nothing to write home about on combustion and the high was short and hollow to me.

Curio
Overall not a huge fan, both were on the drier side with very little flavosmell. Might be the first brand to go on my 3 strike list ;)

Wizard Gum

Grabbed this as it was being raved about on this sub at the time. Liked this a lot better then the Punch but it was also $15 more. Had a sweet smell, and a decently smooth smoke. Enjoyable energetic head high and seemed to eliminate my anxiety fairly well. I want to try Blissful but not sure id get this again.

Purple Punch

I have had a TON of purple punch and its crosses so I wanted to see how this compared. Meh. This batch didn't have the prettiest nugs and only had slight hints of that purple punch scent that is so unique. Once ground up you get a bit more but its still muted.

This strain blew my mind with how much is smelled like mandarin oranges lol I kept also getting reminded of the scent of my favorite chinese food spot so that was slighly offputting lol but this was a good smoke, it did the job - not a whole lot to say on it tho.

Conclusion

I spent way too much money and used practically my entire allotment in a week BUT it was fun :D Wish I could experience these dispo's they way they should be experienced, but I have had decent curbside experiences...mostly (remedy, looking at you) The buds have been pretty good tho - I am only okay w the prices as I have been getting my first time deals everywhere and deal hunting, but these prices need to come down or the quality of the meds needs to improve as they do not match in my opinion. But I am impressed with what Culta, Grassroots, Rythm, and Natures Heritage are up to and hope they can improve even further.

I wanna get into the MD concentrates now - any recs? Got a Cherrygasm LR Cart thats pretty nice from MPX. I wanna fire my Puffco Peak back up and want some badders and resins tho - lemme know :D

All syringes are 12cc/mL and come capped with a sterile tip cap, and also include an 18ga BD sterile needle and alcohol pads. Syringes are made in a lab grade environment and the utmost care and attention is the highest priority to be sure they are sterile. Anything exposed to an open air environment is subject to contamination, but I take every precaution possible to minimize this risk. I cannot "guarantee" they are 100% sterile, but I can guarantee that if you have an issue, I will make it right. I really do love to help, and if something happens, I'd like to know about it so I can fix the issue instead of you getting frustrated or giving up!
To ensure equal quantity of spores in each syringe, and for adequate suspension of the spores in the solution, I use a magnetic stir plate. Very often, this does such a good job of breaking up clumps of spores that it will appear to be sparse. THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE! There are still a TON of spores in each syringe, even if you can't see them individually (though most of my syringes appear to have a very good amount of visible spores...even with my horrible eyesight!). You can compare and contrast to see the blackish/purple tint to ensure every syringe is packed with spores. If a spore clump forms during transportation, simply give it a good flick with your finger and vigorously shake to break it up or free it from clinging to the wall of the syringe before examining.
Syringes ship in individual bags clearly labeled as to specific variety and born on date, bubble wrapped and shipped through USPS tracked shipping (discreet) within 24 hours of payment. I send tracking info soon after payment and give updates along the (super quick) way.
Any messages referring to spores being used for anything other than microscopy use will be ignored. Don't do it.

My dear friends and sexy mycologists, how are we doing this fine JULY evening? I can't believe this year is already halfway over! Time flies when you're....in quarantine? At least it has for me with all of you keeping me busy, and I can't thank you enough for all of the support, appreciation, words of encouragement...and all those cat facts. Gotta love em.
Something that has often been brought to my attention recently (not mycology related...skip ahead if you just want to get down to business) has been positive and negative self talk. That little voice inside your head (for some louder than others) that's always interrupted when you have a new thought or distraction from an outside influence. This could very well be defined as your mood and overall well-being. If you let this little voice go, it will keep chatting you up as long as you let it. I know there are a lot of problems in the world right now that we can focus on and let that voice run wild with negative chatter, but that sets the tempo for your entire day! We all have our own personal struggles and daily battles that we have to face, but it can make a world of difference (and a difference in the world) if we focus on what's good in our lives and let that self talk sing praises instead of weighing you down. Be thankful each and every day just for being alive. Life alone is a miracle, and we take it for granted far too often. Appreciate the small things, be kind to everyone and every thing, and treat each day as a new beginning. If anyone is feeling down about anything that's going on in their life, no matter haw trivial or catastrophic, please reach out to me! Everyone needs a friend or someone to just listen to what's going on in their life, and I'd love to give back to a community who has helped me in so many ways. We're all in this together. We're all just walking each other home :)

All syringes are 12cc/mL and come capped with a sterile tip cap, and also include an 18ga BD sterile needle and alcohol pads. Syringes are made in a lab grade environment and the utmost care and attention is the highest priority to be sure they are sterile. Anything exposed to an open air environment is subject to contamination, but I take every precaution possible to minimize this risk. I cannot "guarantee" they are 100% sterile, but I can guarantee that if you have an issue, I will make it right. I really do love to help, and if something happens, I'd like to know about it so I can fix the issue instead of you getting frustrated or giving up!
To ensure equal quantity of spores in each syringe, and for adequate suspension of the spores in the solution, I use a magnetic stir plate. Very often, this does such a good job of breaking up clumps of spores that it will appear to be sparse. THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE! There are still a TON of spores in each syringe, even if you can't see them individually (though most of my syringes appear to have a very good amount of visible spores...even with my horrible eyesight!). You can compare and contrast to see the blackish/purple tint to ensure every syringe is packed with spores. If a spore clump forms during transportation, simply give it a good flick with your finger and vigorously shake to break it up or free it from clinging to the wall of the syringe before examining.
Syringes ship in individual bags clearly labeled as to specific variety and born on date, bubble wrapped and shipped through USPS tracked shipping (discreet) within 24 hours of payment. I send tracking info soon after payment and give updates along the (super quick) way.
Any messages referring to spores being used for anything other than microscopy use will be ignored. Don't do it.

MIL humble brags about her ability to kick us out before we even move in

TLDR: my wife and I were planning on moving in with MIL due to the pandemic making us lose wages and our rent not being stopped. A week from move in, MIL humble brags about how she could kick us out at any time but is too nice a person to do so.
Some things out of the way first so that there isnt any confusion later on:
My wife and I are not married on paper yet but it's just a formality at this point. We are both nonbinary lesbians and as such I(22) use he/him pronouns and my wife (24) used they/them pronouns. This is how i will refer to us in post, and everyone who we interact with on a daily basis knows and understands this. If you have questions and aren't rude, I don't mind expanding more on that, preferably privately to avoid harassment.
Now about my mother in law, and apologies if it's a long read. I have autism and a tendency to over explain points. I'm able on mobile but I've tried to format the paragraphs so that they're easy to read.
I met her for the first time when she randomly decided to visit my wife and I in our first apartment together with 2 other roommates. She and her son and some cousins were allegedly vacationing in our state, and she begged us to use our discounts through work to get them all discounted tickets to a famous attraction nearby. It was all super last minute and she ended up coming down anyway despite the vacation falling through.
My wife and I had a gameplan of sorts on how to deal with her that weekend considering she'd have to stay in the same room as us because she did not plan for hotels. (She tried to find a hotel room the day that she arrived, and again begged us to do it through our job's benefits center despite us having told her beforehand that that wasn't an option anymore.) Back to the gameplan. She's known to change her mood at the drop of a dime and try to play herself off as the most loving and benign woman on the face of the planet during the first meeting. And even though we were working then, me at a different retail store than the one we both work at now, from what I did see of her the short week she was there was actually sorta pleasant.
This changed within about a week of her returning home or so.
My wife had always told me their relationship with their mother was strained and for good reason but was hesitant to expand on why. I know now it's because the woman just seems to leak out offense through her pores. Despite being a fat Black woman herself, she seems to only ever want to put them down and belittle them for existing. My wife's weight is always a point of contention, mainly how they put on weight like most people do in college and never lost it. It's caused a lot of insecurities that aren't mine to share in detail but suffice it to say, they are still having a very hard time shaking them. In addition to this, she seems to have periods of time where she can't seem to figure out if she loves the LGBT community, or completely hates all of our guts. Personally, I prefer an outright and virulent bigot - don't pretend acceptance and lord it over my head despite disregarding our pronouns and names.
I think that's enough backstory for the main meat of my issue, at hand that is. Many issues with her in general.
Our situation in the other state fell through a year ago with our roommates due to differences in house keeping and my wife and I not making enough to cover our half of rent. We decided to move back to the state my wife's mom lives in, where we are now, to stay with her and save our money to get our own place. I managed to get a job with my wife's job and we work at separate buildings now but were able to move out successfully after a couple months.
Despite my disdain for her, I've always tried to be respectful of MIL and abide by her rules under her house. Being southern means I say yes maam and no maam more than anything else, I'm not the nearest but I always tried to clean after myself in a timely manner, and helped my wife's little brother out with his readings and everything in school. Despite how I hate her, and how little she makes my wife feel, I recognize they still care for their mother, especially on her good days. I'd never wanna ruin a relationship they think was worth salvaging if she was amenable.
Unfortunately, she really wasn't amenable. She had incredibly tight standards about how the house should be kept that she never once relayed to me, who was home most of the time before I was hired. She was expecting my wife, who was commuting 2 hours every day for 8-10 hour shifts so we could pitch in with bills, to also have the time to explain to me that even the standard of clean I do keep (which is reasonably clean especially to be living at someone else's house) was beyond subpar for her.
This led to many times she yelled at my wife out of the blue while I was at work and they weren't, her removing the tissue from the bathroom we used even knowing that we couldn't even afford that at the time, cutting us off from the internet after we downgraded our network plans so that made job searching and apartment searching while I was home so difficult. We lived in a dangerous area so I couldnt walk to the nearest library nor afford to catch the bus to take me there. On top of it all, we found out after a month of silence and us trying to plan and somehow make this up to her despite her actively pretending that I didn't exist and my wife was the devil, that she was upset we didn't hold up our end of the bargain in paying her for living with her.
She lives in the house rent free, we bought our own groceries, and only used the internet to job search for me and look for apartments. And after I got hired we honestly settled on the cheapest spot closest to work with any availability so we could just get out of there, so we were barely using any internet. We weren't affecting her bills in any way aside from water and electricity and I grew up "sit in the dark" poor so I imagine not by much on that note either. So we said so, because we hadn't yet been there long enough for her to have any bills reflecting our stay. So she pulls out her most recent bills to show us, and they're from before we even moved in. I understand she's unemployed and taking care of an elementary schooler pretty much by herself but this honestly made my head spin. EDIT: I thought I included this but in addition, we had told her we did not have any money when we moved out due to losing our jobs and that as soon as we were actively being paid again, then we would have no problem pitching in. Our friends sent us money for food and transport, and I did a couple of art commissions to pay our phone bill. My wife had been working barely a week when this happened.
Fast forward to us moving out in a rush with help from our best friend, we've settled in our new apartment and started planning our next move. We sorely miscalculated how much we would be sacrificing to live here just to get out of her place. We can afford it but things were tight for a moment there. We got to budgeting and planning a workable amount to have rent, food, and necessities as they arose but still, we admit we rushed. We were gonna suck it up the remainder of the lease but we're 5 months in and the pandemic hit.
Everything shut down including our jobs, but we were still expected to pay rent. No big rent strikes here and as much as I would love to, we couldnt go out on a limb and start one without a fail safe. So we suddenly had no income, and an apartment we could only just afford even with us being one out of a handful of full time workers in our respectful departments. We started making contingencies and looking at other places and asked our landlords if we would be able to break our lease due to everything going on and us being out of work. They agreed to let us break it to whatever date we wrote on the intent to vacate letter and not charge any extra penalties they wouldnt on a normal move out.
Now, I admit this was purely wanting contingency on my half, and wanting my poor brother in law to know there were adults that don't wake him up every night screaming at him and help him learn how to read on his level. So I was fine with our contingency being that my wife would ask their mom if we could stay with her for probably one month max for us to save up our unemployment and get a new place so we could go back to work. My manager knew we would be staying with her and a small child so I wouldnt be able to help them with reopening the store bc of their high risk and wasnt expecting me back any time soon. Same with my wife's, as well as them being high risk themselves.
Well it's a week to moving in with her, when my wife was up before me one day texting their mom. They ended up detailing how we planned on situating everything in the attic so the only time we would be downstairs would be to shower, wash our dishes, and do laundry. We wouldnt even be in the kitchen to cook, since we used our unemployment to get a hot plate. We went through every extent we could to make sure her rules wouldn't be broken.
In return my wife is sent not one but two paragraphs detailing how their relationship is irreparable and that's my wife's fault for constantly disrespecting their mother and her house and rules. She refuses of course to list how they have done so because normally when she starts speaking like this, it's because she remembers she perfect cookie cutter "daughter" she imagined following in her footsteps is an adult with their own emotions and priorities. And because my wife went through some very, very hard times in high school and college and expected her to be there for them like a mother would but all she cared about was belittling them for gaining weight and coming out. She brags about how she told herself after last time, she would never let us (particularly them) back into her house and doesnt have to do it now but she's doing so because there's a pandemic going on and she's just so kind.
And I may miss most social cues but to me this was pretty much a clear way of saying she can and will kick us out at any point. I understand we are again coming to her asking for help but I would much rather she just told us no and not this. I woke up to my wife in tears and we really aren't the crying type. They were so distraught because they really do exhaust themselves trying to make her proud but she'll only ever see them as someone she couldn't mold, I guess.
I'm just tired. Our hands are kind of tied here. We have been waiting on our next unemployment checks for weeks now, and aren't the only ones being backed up, and it seems every apartment complex in the area is hinging on people being so desperate to move out that they all raised their prices at least 5% since we last checked not even 2 weeks ago. The area we work in is already pretty expensive but this really is doing us in... we have to live close to work, or at least to public transit, because neither of us can drive. I'm an orphan who really can't reach out to any other members of my family because they all also want me to live my life the way they want (going into even more debt going back to college knowing housing and food would be impossible for us and thinking I'm entitled for saying that if they want me to live that life then they can finance it).
I've reached out to one of my coworkers who is looking for another place herself after a bad breakup in the hopes we could look at renting a place all together, which I would've done anyway if she needed the help, but now again we're the ones who need help. I might be misplacing a bit of this anger but we've talked it through and I refuse to let her continue to tug them around like this and make demands of their life and how they lead it and who they lead it with. And shes not going to be able to have the excuse that we're doing whatever evil shit she thinks we are under her roof because we won't be there, period.
I'm just tired. Maybe I just wanted to rant but I still would like some suggestions. We truly don't know where to start. The text situation happened yesterday, my wife has since been accused of refusing to acknowledge her bc we were both too busy panicking and trying to see if we could possibly get another month on our lease here and get back to work so we'll hopefully have more time to plan but even then there's no guarantee we can afford that extra month now. My wife was able to get back to work immediately but I'll have to find out if I can go back tomorrow since my manager is out today.
