I fall into the latter category but I face a dilemma. I've used a bonus before and thought rollover only applied to the bonus funds you receive and the money you win from it. A certain website that starts with BOV actually locked the bonus funds, the original deposit, AND all monies earned from the wager.
I did well last night but long story short, I need to wager 2k to get my 600 bucks back. 2k is a lot of wagering for me and I don't know if I can survive. Any valid strategies here? I'm thinking I should just bet super heavy on large favorites such as Gonzaga. I'm thinking college basketball because its more of a sure thing. Anyone can beat anyone in professional sports leagues during the regular season (for the most part) because the talent playing field is similar. NOT the same with college ball.

Some people have said you get KYC'd if you try to withdraw more than $2k, but again, I can confirm that it's not true (specifically for the casinos listed below). Just make sure that you only deposit/withdraw via crypto and you'll be fine. If you think this is sketchy, then please, continue making your credit card deposits at Bovada to random shell companies based out of China.
Also, DO NOT USE COINBASE TO TRANSFER TO AND FROM THE CASINO. They banned me. It hurt. Don't make the same mistake. I recommend using BRD as an intermediary between Coinbase and the casino. I deposited money last night on Bovada Sports to make a sports bet and received a 50% bonus upon doing so, figuring if I didn't end up betting sports, I could always just play poker with the funds original funds (not the bonus of course).
I did not make any bets whatsoever on the platform. I attempted to withdraw funds this morning, however they were locked due to the bonus. I reached out to customer service to inquire if removing the bonus would allow me to withdraw the funds, I was told "If you forfeit the bonus your locked funds will be released to withdraw; however, as per our internal Anti Money Laundering(AML) policy, you are required to wager the full amount of your deposited funds before you’re eligible to receive a withdrawal." Is there any way I can withdraw my funds without having to wager these funds? It doesn't even appear that I can use the funds to play poker since that platform is different than the sports platform. I responded to someone's comment with this a bit ago but I get more questions than I thought I would about it. I figured I would put my post here in case anyone had questions themselves about Bovada and their bonuses. I believe it is important to know what you're signing up for when it comes to accepting bonus terms.
There are 3 kinds of funds on bovada:
1) Available to withdraw- this is money you have deposited or won not tied to any bonus, or you have cleared the rollover of your bonus, and you may withdraw this at your liking.
2)Bonus Funds- when you deposit money with a bonus, the extra goes here. It's important to distinguish what kind of bonus funds they are, how they were acquired, and how to roll it over. Deposit bonuses come with a rollover as per the terms. It's usually something like 40x casino/10x sports/10x horses.
So if you deposited $100 with a 100% deposit bonus, you'd receive $200 but you must play the following to unlock the funds. It will look something like this, for example:
$8000 in the casino (not all games contribute 100%) $2000 in sportsbook $2000 on horse betting
IMPORTANT NOTE: BOVADA WILL PULL FROM YOUR CASH BALANCE FIRST BEFORE USING THE BONUS FUNDS ON A DEPOSIT BONUS. You can try to combat this by making a money line bet on something safe where the odds aren't likely to change with your cash, then placing the wager you really want with the bonus funds, and cashing out the money line first wager.
If you redeem your points for bonus funds, those get taken first.
These are lofty rollover numbers for a reason- the longer you play, the more likely you are to lose. Bovada doesn't care about throwing you a bone when they're damn near 100% going to take your $100 over time as you try to make that rollover. This takes us to...
3) Locked funds- this is the money you deposited to receive a bonus. These funds, along with the bonus funds, are not available to withdraw until you

B) lose all bonus funds(see important note).
Always read the terms before accepting any bonus.

I deposited around $500 in bitcoin earlier today in preparation for NCAAF week 1. I chose the 150% casino bonus (or whatever it was).
Went out drinking and started playing blackjack when I got home. Long story short, I built my account up to around $3800. Only one problem— my playable balance is now $0.00
The $3800 shows up as “bonus funds” and I can’t utilize any of this money to bet on sports.
So I’m thinking that during the time I was playing I must have “used up” my initial $500 and only had bonus funds left. Then, when I built the stack back up, the winnings were the result of my “bonus funds”
Regardless, this seems like absolute bullshit and I feel like Bovada fucked me out of $500.

I've been scatter-brained, ire-filled, soul-searching and lost after a 7-day Degen Marathon that brought a shit load of misfortunes. Had about $400 to $500 in righteously earned bonus dollars earned through impossible grinding degen mission that came pretty close to accomplishing (91%).
I would have had some imaginary >$600 BR by now, but instead the roll-over deadline caused the entire deposit to be forfeited and I manage to salvage some $100.
Due to a bonus rollover scheme, 80U of my balance was stuck in bonuses and if I fail to accomplish the roll-over by the deadline, it all gets forfeited.
With a $500-$600 balance, I could have somewhere at $900-1000 by now after a 20-2 W-L record on European football on Wednesday.
How did I get that record yesterday, by sampling a bunch of solid pre-game picks and live betting using my own fucking brain. I consult with the finest in capping. With $10-$20 bet sizes, That would have put me up maybe $15x16 = +$240 at minimum. $1000 was the imaginary bank roll. I want you to give me an analytical calculation or a simulation of your work and give me all the possible scenarios.
Then give the final verdict of if that number converges to 0.000% or 100.00% that the average Joe would succeed his false-hope mission for a successful rollover.
In other words think of it like this: If the average joe bets his entire bank roll 12 or more times (roll-over is not x10 because of bookie juice), what is the probability that he will still end up in the green? Also assign a tilt probability factor that the Average Joe would go on some emotional tilt spree to end up bust again? Alright. let me preface this by saying i haven't been playing online poker for very long. maybe 4 months. however this post is not necessarily poker related but more so related to the means in which we play poker online here in the USA. This might be a long post that you must read to fully understand but bare with me as i really need to establish whether something shady is going on and if i should change poker sites and warn people not to use bovada. From June 10th to July 2 2018 I continually played in $1-$2 sitngos on a consistent daily basis. I played 111 to be exact(i have spreadsheets to log results). This means that i essentially played $209.5 and profited $5.35 total playing poker on bovada. The reason i am including is, is so we can see how much money i played with, and that i didnt lose money.

I explained what happened and asked why i had not seen my bonus ticking down like normally? The rep explained it was because of the website change it was an issue that was known about, and that it she could assure it would resolve in time. ok Fine.
Here we are August 12. my bonus stands at $68.85 with the $50 bonus in line behind it waiting for the first one to be completed. so i contacted Bovada chat again first.. the rep literally said "i am seeing that you have been playing poker which does not contribute to that rollover for the bonuses" i responded by copy pasting the "Refer-a-Friend Welcome Bonus - Rollover Requirement: 5X Sports/30X Casino/6 Poker Points per Bonus Dollar - Play on Single or Double Deck Blackjack, Baccarat, Craps, Roulette, Live Dealer and Mini Games Will Not Count Toward Rollover in Casino "
